I'd had a request a few days ago for photos of
Reunion Island
and the last time I was there was for the first Rip Curl Search in
2005. Mick Fanning won the event which was blessed with amazing waves at
St Leu. There were plenty of free surfing going down over the two weeks
too. Going through my shots, Andy Irons with three World Titles in a
row (2002, 2003 and 2004) was the clear standout taking St Leu and St
Pierre apart.
